A Golden Moment for Change + Salted Caramel Date Bars
The crunchy base:
3 cups Chex mix (or other cereal your prefer)
2 tbsp coconut oil (or vegan butter
1/2 cup maple syrup
1 cup nut/seed butter of choice ( I use SunButter)
Tsp of Vanilla Extract
Caramel:
Combine till smooth these ingredients
5-8 pitted dates
1/2 cup date syrup
1/2 cup nut butter
Pinch of salt
Chocolate:
Melt 1 1/2 cup chocolate (I use @hukitchen)
OPTIONAL: Gold Cake glitter (avail online)
METHOD:
Crush cereal with hands and add in all wet ingredients till combine. Spread out onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet and top with date caramel. Place in freezers set 2-4 hours.
Coat bars In chocolate and enjoy as is, or let set more in freezer to harden again before eating.
